Ruth Emma Fox studied in London, gaining a first class honours degree in Illustration and Visual Communication.
Her interest in observing craftsmanship of the everyday was first inspired when she inherited two complete engineering toolboxes from her grandfather; recording and cataloguing each item to create a sensitive representation of their considered design and the skill required to use them. These themes have continued both within her commercial and personal work.
Commissioned projects, collaborations and personal work have included , illustration and animation for London Garden Museum, giftware design with Tiger Print for Marks and Spencer, live drawing sessions in John Lewis, Oxford Street, illustration for bespoke branding and packaging. Working alongside the London Cloth Company. Creating pattern design for textile print and providing Ruth Emma Fox stationary to a number of high profile purchasers.
